The Mystery Unfolds...

Retreating to the Hideaway, Marvin seeks to extract the truth behind the allegations Alex so strongly suggested.

Marvin: Am I  the only one in the dark about these new dolls?

Ramune': Yeah, you seem to be the lucky one.

What gives?

Ramune': There's a large Sorceress who's at the root of Alex and Lexi's problem.

On Lexi's 12th birthday, just as her betrothal to the Snow Prince was about to be announced, she disappeared! In front of everyone!

Marvin: No way! We can only do that to ourselves! Were you there?

 

Ramune': Yeah. Remember when Alex first appeared?

Marvin: Mmmhmmm, and our human took right to him.

Took 'im outside and brought in a girl.

 Ramune': That's how you saw it? The spell had been cast. Niharika, out of jealousy and spite, shoved Lexi, body & soul, into a local boy. Then she teleported him far away.

 Marvin: Sooo, why do they switch?

 

Ramune': Can you imagine the trauma?! Would cause anybody nightmares. So I guess the
nightmares trigger the switch.

  

Marvin: And Lexi has no memory of her former life?

 

Ramune': Must be part of the spell.
Marvin: So how do you fit in all this?
Ramune': Niharika wants her daughter to marry the prince...so I'm to monitor the spell's effect and report, while she puts in motion her own plans...

 

...and try to prevent the split, somehow.

 

Marvin: Like Lexi will *POP* out of Alex, and there will be TWO?
Ramune: Yeah, and I might have to try my own disappearing act.
